Akshay kumar -Anil Kapoor PATCH UP: Anil Kapoor visits Akshay Kumar's set

Round 1
Anil attacks AkshayIn an interview to a film magazine, Anil Kapoor was asked why he wasn’t making films as a producer. The actor apparently replied that he was better off being an actorbecause he hates to run after anyone (meaning other actors?) He then went on to say, “Akshay Kumar had asked me why I wasn’t asking him to work with me. I told him, “Dekh bhai, main kisika chamcha nahi hoon. I need the same kind of passion in an actor. If we have that, we’ll work together. I can’t beg and please, neither will I lick an actor’s feet to cast him.”
Round 2 Akshay hits backA tabloid picked up this story and highlighted as Anil taking potshots at Akshay. While they weren’t able to reach the two actors, they carried some quotes from a ‘close friend of Akshay’ who said, “That Anil was perhaps taking potshots at Khiladi Kumar because he’d been sidelined in recent films like Tezz with Ajay Devgn, and Race 2 with Saif Ali Khan.”

Round 3 AK-AK PATCH UPWhen Anil read the tabloid in the morning, he felt that his quotes had been used to misrepresent him, and he called Akshay. He explained that he hadn’t made any digs at him and he was embarrassed that there had been an attempt to create a misunderstanding between them, when there was none. Following this, Anil Landed up on the set of Boss, where Akki was shooting and they cleared the air.’

Akshay Kumar beats Salman, Aamir and Shah Rukh Khan in advance tax payment

The Khiladi has been them all. Akshay Kumar has beaten Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in advance tax payments this year. He paid Rs 19 crore in advance payment in taxes
If the advance tax payment was an indication Akshay Kumar must be the most successful actor in India. He has paid a huge Rs 19 crore as advance tax and the next highest individual tax payer is none other than Salman Khan who is charging his producers Rs 100 crore and making many crore rupees for every episode of his reality television shows. The badshah of Indian film industry Shah Rukh Khan was third on the list with advance tax payment of Rs 10.5 crore

In the past Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan have alternated between them to be the highest advance tax payers not just in the entertainment industry, but in the whole country. Even top industrialists don’t pay individual taxes so much as these top Bollywood actors and actresses. But it is perplexing to know that Salman Khan despite having at least two huge hits with collections of both over Rs 150 crore filing far lower taxes than Akshay Kumar. Shah Rukh Khan paid Rs 11 crore as advance tax payments.
Others on the list included Aamir Khan who paid Rs 8 crore as advance payment. The three Khans and Akshay were followed by leading ladies of the tinsel town. Katrina Kaif’s advance tax were reported to be as high as Rs 4.5 crore while for Bebo aka Kareena Kapoor it was Rs 4 crore, while for Priyanka Chopra it was as high as Rs 2 crore.

Akshay Kumar vs Shah Rukh Khan in box office competition?

Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar's major releases could be squaring up to each other at the box office.

The actors will be seen later this year in Chennai Express and Once Upon A Time in Mumbai 2.
Cinema spokesman Pinky Badlani told Mumbai Mirror: "YRF has set the trend [for box office battle]. Now, UTV is doing it. It seems they just want to kill the prospects of Once Upon A Time...."

"I will do exactly what other single screens do. I will not sit on the fence."

Chennai Express producers UTV have reportedly told cinema owners that they must buy the film with the company's other big release Himmatwala.

Ajay Devgan filed a complaint against Yash Raj Films last year for allegedly paying cinema distributors to show Jab Tak Hai Haan.

The Himmatwala star has said that he wanted to stop Bollywood being monopolised by big production houses.

Akshay Kumar's tribute to his dad Hari Om Bhatia

Mumbai, March 14 -- Akshay Kumar shared a special bond with his late father Hari Om Bhatia. He even named his production house Hari Om Entertainment. And now, Akshay is extending his love by starting a cancer shelter, exclusively for police personnel, under his dad's name - Hari Om Cancer Shelter.

"The project is close to Akshay's heart. Years ago, when his (ex-armyman) father was undergoing chemotherapy at the Tata Memorial hospital, Akshay would notice how several policemen - while undergoing treatment for the disease - would face trouble with their stay and food arrangements. And that memory stayed in Akshay's mind," says an insider. "In effect, a policeman, who is undergoing cancer treatment in Mumbai can avail of the shelter's services, including food and AC rooms with TV sets, by paying just R400 per day."

Akshay, who inaugurated the centre on Tuesday, March 12, says, "It has been a long-standing dream for me. Besides Mr Arup Patnaik (ex-Mumbai police commissioner), I am very thankful to Satyapalji (Singh; current commissioner), deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar and Maharashtra home minister RR Patil, for helping me make my dream come true."
A few months ago, when the actor got hold of a piece of land in Naigaon, he decided to build the shelter there almost immediately. "It was an emotional moment for him as the shelter started functioning from Wednesday, March 13 onwards. Right now, it's a 30-bed home, but if things go well in terms of permissions and space, he might increase the capacity in the future," adds the insider.

Keemat: They Are Back
1998 Film
Keemat is a Bollywood action film directed by Sameer Malkan and produced by brothers Ganesh Jain and Ramesh Jain. It stars Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Raveena Tandon and Sonali Bendre. Anupam Kher and Ravi Kishen have supporting roles......
Gurgaon: Bollywood star actor Akshay Kumar Monday said that he did his best bike stunt was in Hindi movie 'Keemat', which was released in 1998.
"I have performed too many action roles with motorcycles but a stunt scene in 'Keemat' will always be memorable," Akshay, who was here to launch Honda's new 150cc bike - CB Trigger - told reporters
"It was a dangerous scene, in which I had to jump the bike from a height, which was almost as high as a three storey building. There was a door near my landing point and I was not even aware of exactly where to land. I practiced almost a day and finally the scene was done," said the 45-year-old who recently did high voltage action in 'Rowdy Rathore'.

In 'Keemat', Akahay played a petty thieve and Saif Ali Khan was his partner.
In real life, Akshay owns five bikes and often uses them.
"Traffic congestion and jams are big problems and matter of concern in Mumbai. To counter that I often use my bikes while going for film shootings. The distance covered by car in one-and-a-half hour can be done in 15-20 minutes on a bike," he said.
While riding bike, Akshay uses quality helmet, knee and elbow pads for safety.
